3. Deshaun Watson

Watson enjoys the unfortunate honor of doing more with less than any other quarterback in the NFL. His job is only going to get more complicated with the departure of DeAndre Hopkins this offseason.

Don’t look for it to stop Watson from keeping the Texans in the playoff race. His ability to escape from pressure and keep his eyes down the field makes him impossible for opposing secondaries to contain. The poise he shows on the field makes it easy to forget that he’s still just 24-years-old.

Everyone readily acknowledges the fact that Watson is a perennial Pro Bowler. It’s time that people take things one step forward. He should be a perennial contender to be named as an All Pro. What he’s done with a flawed offensive roster in Houston is nothing short of remarkable.

Unfortunately, Watson may continue to toil in relative purgatory until a front office regime change occurs with the Texans. It’s hard to envision a scenario where Bill O’Brien really surrounds him with elite talent. He may need to leave Houston before he gets the credit he truly deserves on a national scale.
