8. Attend a game at Assembly Hall in Indiana

There are a pair of Assembly Halls in the Big Ten, so make sure you buy your tickets for the more historic venue in Indiana. The Hoosiers have made a tremendous amount of basketball history at Assembly Hall, which joins Pauley Pavilion and Rupp Arena on the bucket list for its nostalgia factor.

Assembly Hall opened its doors in 1971, the same year legendary coach Bob Knight made his debut for the Hoosiers. Knight guided Indiana to three national championships in his tenure, including an undefeated season in 1976, which is the last to date in college basketball.

The atmosphere inside Assembly Hall is also unique due to its construction. Administrators at Indiana wanted the majority of the seats to be on the sides of the court, which resulted in very steep bleachers with roughly 20 rows of seats behind the baskets.

Those elevated stands can create an intimidating feel for visiting teams, which has resulted in a tremendous amount of success for the Hoosiers over the years. Assembly Hall can also get quite loud, making it a very exciting place to watch a tight game.

Combining historical value with a unique design is why Assembly Hall is ahead of many other arenas on this bucket list. Indiana provides a ton of bang for your buck, ensuring its spot inside the top-10 of the list.
