18. Attend the NCAA Women’s Final Four

The college basketball bucket list is not gender-exclusive, and people don’t give women’s college basketball enough credit. The sport drew a lot of side-eye from casual fans for years who called the NCAA Tournament the UConn Invitational, but the Huskies haven’t won it all since 2016.

The number of elite programs has expanded as teams like Notre Dame, South Carolina, Oregon and Baylor have joined UConn atop the college basketball mountain.

There is a general lack of media coverage for women’s college basketball, which doesn’t get a lot of prime TV spots when the big name teams aren’t playing. The upside for women’s basketball is that the best players often stay in school for four years, giving them a chance to develop into stars we can follow.

The Final Four often features a showcase of the best teams in the country, with players like Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson, and Anike Ogunbowale putting on a show. This is some seriously high-quality basketball being played and seeing a champion being crowned in any sport is a worthy experience.

Don’t sleep on getting out to the women’s Final Four as part of your college basketball bucket list experience. It is an excellent trip that should create some new memories.
