4. LeSean McCoy

McCoy has a solid run with the Kansas City Chiefs last year, as he averaged 4.6 yards per carry before being a playoff scratch. He has gotten little interest on the open market this offseason, as he approaches 32 years old (July 12), with the Raiders choosing Devontae Booker over him perhaps saying it all.

McCoy has professed a desire to sign with a contender, with a more recent comment he could see himself back with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles appear to be in the market for a running back too, but it’s unclear if they have any interest in him and the Seahawks are a contender themselves.

McCoy’s days as anything close to a top-tier fantasy running back are gone, and it’s worth wondering if last year’s boost to more than 4.5 yards per carry was a product of how great the Chiefs’ offense is.

The Chiefs signed McCoy just before Week 1 last year, after the Bills made him a late cut. Something similar could happen this year in respect to a late signing, but as the Seahawks seem to be ramping up interest in available backs McCoy should be on their list.
