3. Devonta Freeman

Freeman was cut by the Atlanta Falcons in March, and with little interest until recently the Seahawks have reportedly made an offer. The Eagles and Jets are also reportedly interested in Freeman, so there is suddenly a market for his services.

Freeman has battled injuries in recent years, and the last time he was a useful fantasy running back feels like it was longer ago than 2017 (865 rushing yards, 37 receptions and eight total touchdowns). In 2015 and 2016, he topped 1,000 yards on the ground with 11 rushing scores and more than 50 catches in both seasons (73 in 2015).

Freeman’s asking price is apparently a little high for the Seahawks right now. So they could very well move on quickly to other options if they’re motivated to sign someone soon. Quite frankly, Freeman is not good enough anymore to be worth waiting for if a team likes someone else or his asking price is deemed to high. If someone does sign him his fantasy impact, in terms of individual value or impact on Carson as relates to the Seahawks, is sure to be worthy of little more than a yawn.
