Green Bay Packers free agency target: Nigel Bradham, LB

Over the past four seasons, linebacker Blake Martinez racked up a lot of tackles for the Green Bay Packers. But that didn’t necessarily mean that this team was successful at stopping anyone, especially when it came to slowing down the run. He would enter the free-agent market in March and was scooped up by the New York Giants.

Even before that, general manager Brian Gutekunst added linebacker Christian Kirksey – cut loose by the Cleveland Browns after missing a total of 23 games the past two seasons.  Perhaps the six-year pro can add a little muscle to Mike Pettine’s unit, which was adept at rushing the passer but was overrun (literally) by more than one quality offensive line a year ago.

Meanwhile, Nigel Bradham was a fourth-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2012. He spent his first four seasons in Orchard Park and would move onto Philadelphia since ’16. The last three years he’s been part of a club that has reached the playoffs and he was a big part of the Eagles’ team that captured Super Bowl LII.

Bradham could be a major asset to the Packers’ linebacking corps and a group that appears to be have more questions than answers when it comes to the inside spots.
