1. Aaron Rodgers

Any Packers’ fan will tell you this and they’re not wrong: Green Bay will go as far as Aaron Rodgers will take them in 2020. Rodgers did perform well in his first year with Matt LaFleur, but it did feel like the absolutely explosive potential we’ve seen from the Packers’ offense in the past wasn’t completely there.

There are also new questions about Rodgers’ future with the franchise after the Packers stunned the league by trading up to draft his successor in April, quarterback Jordan Love. Rodgers clearly wasn’t thrilled with the pick, which now puts him in the same position Brett Favre was when the Packers took Rodgers back in 2005.

Rumors will undoubtedly swirl about Rodgers’ relationship with Love and when the Packers want Love to be their guy, but those will be put to rest if Rodgers delivers a vintage performance. Green Bay’s roster has remained basically the same while teams like the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings improved, putting more pressure on Rodgers to elevate his game.

No one should bet against Rodgers delivering an exceptional effort, which will be key to Green Bay’s chances of getting to the Super Bowl for just the second time in his career. This season could be Rodgers’ last great chance to add a second ring with the Packers, making him the most important player for them in 2020.
