Ever since kicking things off with Iron Man in 2008, the MCU has seen so many great heroes make the leap from the colorful pages of Marvel comics to the silver screen for some of the best entries of the genre. After three phases and growing, the lineup of characters that fans can’t get enough has grown considerably, making it difficult for even the most hardcore loyalist to keep track of every one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

It is truly incredible what Disney and Marvel Studios have been able to accomplish with these properties. Some superheroes are harder than others to develop, and the talented individuals in charge of it all have done a superb job selecting who made the cut when filling out their shared universe. From no-brainers like Captain America and the amazing Spider-Man to obscure, lesser-known entities like the Guardians of the Galaxy, every choice adds significant value to the franchise.
