20. Spider-Man

Spider-Man’s introduction into the MCU was a very jarring experience, and his existence in the popular shared universe really didn’t start to feel right until he was dusted in Infinity War. This edition of Marvel’s favorite web-head is much more teched-out then previous versions, and if it wasn’t for his Stark Industries sponsorship, he would feel more like a Defenders character in this super-enhanced franchise of films.

He is, however, extremely gifted for his age and is a very skilled fighter despite having very little professional training. Having fought against the likes of Vulture, The Winter Soldier, Falcon, Thanos, the Black Order, and Mysterio, there is no question he has more than earned his spot on the Avengers.

There are a lot of reasons to get behind the latest Amazing Spider-Man. The gadgets, suits, and A.I. companion are pretty cool. But, while this version of the famous wall-crawler fits very well into the MCU, he comes off more like a new Iron Man with an arachnid fetish. All in all, this iteration is far from Spider-Man in several ways resulting in a lower spot in the rankings, then many would have thought. Sorry Spidey fans, thems the breaks.
