2. Captain America

Captain America has sacrificed so much for his friends, his country, and the entire MCU. He was even willing to do so before he received the super-soldier serum. The 90-pound asthmatic wanted nothing more than to help stop the Nazis in World War II, and boy did he get his wish and then some.

Whether it was leading the Howling Commandos against HYDRA and the Red Skull or leading every single Avenger against The Mad Titan Thanos in the Battle of Earth, Cap is usually the one that tips the scale in favor of the good guys. When this shield throwing, Mjolnir wielding hero puts the word out to assemble all of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes answer the call.

While he has gotten over his phobia of bad-language words, he can’t help but go against authority if things go sideways. He is, after all, a man of action and not one to wait around for a diplomatic solution. Not every problem can be solved with fists and a shield, but whatever the issue is, he’ll do whether it takes to make it right. Cap doesn’t have an ounce of quit in him and isn’t afraid to jump on a loose grenade. There is no question the First Avenger is one of there best, and whoever does take the mantle of Captain America next has some pretty big shoes to fill. The only reason this patriotic fossil isn’t number one is that he really couldn’t have done anything without her.
