27. Quicksilver

Quicksilver isn’t the only ex-HYDRA member to make the list, but he is the fastest individual to ever fight alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. While his comic book origin is much different, his MCU beginnings are riddled with traumatic undertones. Losing his parents early in a warzone only to be experimented on by a mad scientist is a surefire formula for a villain.

The extraordinary ability that takes him from being a regular guy to full-blown enhanced was the result of tests involving Loki’s scepter and the Mind Stone. The end result was his twin sister, Wanda, became one of the most powerful beings in the MCU, and one of the few that could stand toe-to-toe with the Mad Titan Thanos on her own… while her little brother gets to go real fast. Talk about getting shafted.

There is no question that Marvel’s version of The Flash would be a valuable asset in any heroic endeavor, and it’s unfortunate he didn’t last long after bailing on Ultron. It was adorable watching him grab his trainers out of the locker while the rest of the real heroes suited up with their tricked out gear. While he pales in comparison to his X-Men counterpart, sacrificing yourself to save Hawkeye is about as selfless as it gets granting Pietro Maximoff a much-deserved place in the rankings and a salute to his valiant efforts in the Battle of Sokovia.
