Dak Prescott trade partner: San Francisco 49ers

When Jimmy Garoppolo was finally healthy for an entire season, he led the San Franciso 49ers to the Super Bowl. However, he blew a 10-point fourth quarter lead. Maybe the 49ers think a run with Prescott could be different.

One thing that is certain, Prescott is much more durable than Garoppolo. Plus, dealing Garoppolo by June 1 would save the 49ers a whopping $25 million. With that being the case, the 49ers should offer a trade for Prescott.

The 49ers could intrigued Cowboys as they have a quarterback who would make less than Prescott, who is insisting to set the market as the highestpaid player. Garoppolo has experience and maybe he’s a quarterback the Cowboys feel they could win with.

To sweeten the deal, the 49ers could toss in a couple of draft picks.

Would draft compensation and a quarterback who played in the Super Bowl sway Jones to pull the trigger? Garoppolo has shown to be a quality game manager and with Ezekiel Elliott in the backfield, Amari Cooper at wide receiver and the Cowboys offensive line, this combination may be too tempting for Jones to pass up on. He won’t have to pay a quarterback who is going to reset the market and in addition, he would have draft compensation as well.

If the 49ers want Prescott, this may be the offer to entertain the Cowboys front office.
