No. 14 – Aminu Mohammed – SF – 6-foot-4, 175 pounds – Washington, DC

Mohammed plays bigger than his listed height, showing good spring around the basket and smooth ease to his movement on the floor both with and without the ball. He can get to the rim and shows a good release on his jump shot, which will need to develop further at the next level. He has a good frame and should develop more strength and physicality as he puts on weight at the next level.

Many teams are in the mix for Mohammed, including Georgetown, Indiana, Pitt, Louisville, and Maryland. The 247Sports Crystal Ball has Louisville a low-confidence leader in the clubhouse, and Louisville would be closer to home for the Springfield, MO native. As his recruitment picks up throughout the spring and summer and into next year, we believe the team to watch will be Maryland, and look for Mark Turgeon and the Terps to make a splash with Mohammed.

PREDICTION: Maryland Terrapins

No. 13 – Kennedy Chandler – PG – 6-foot-1, 160 pounds – Memphis, TN

Chandler is the top-ranked true point guard in the class of 2021 according to the 247Sports Composite. He is down to his final five schools for consideration as his list is veritable who’s who of college hoops Blue Bloods, along with two schools closer to home.

Chandler’s list includes North Carolina, Tennessee, Memphis, Kentucky, and Duke. Tennessee is known to covet the talented lead guard, and Chandler took an official visit to Knoxville alongside five-star forward Paolo Banchero, and either Tennessee or Kentucky prizing the duo would not be a surprise. Interestingly, the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions have Duke as the favorite to land Chandler. We’ll swerve and predict that Penny Hardaway persuades Chandler to remain close to home and become a Memphis Tiger.

PREDICTION: Memphis Tigers
