10 most underrated Miami Dolphins of all time

1. Tim Ruddy, C
One of the most underrated players in Miami Dolphins’ history is Tim Ruddy and he will mark our final entrant into our list of 10, and fittingly, he may be the most underrated player of any other Miami Dolphins.
Drafted by Don Shula in 1994 out of Notre Dame, the secnod-round draft pick quickly made his presence known. He served his first season as a depth lineman but in 1995, Ruddy took over the starting center job and would start every game he played in for the rest of his career, in fact, Ruddy would miss only four games in his 10-year career and would anchor the line from Don Shula to Jimmy Johnson and from Johnson to Dave Wannstedt. He would miss playing for Nick Saban by one season.
Fellow 1994 draft pick, first-round pick Tim Bowens would play in that 2004 season for Saban.
Ruddy was more than consistent. He was dominant and helped open holes for Ricky Williams and despite the poor lines that were given to him by Jimmy Johnson, Ruddy was a stalwart center.
When we think of great centers in Dolphins’ history, Ruddy is often overlooked as fans tend to focus on Dwight Stephenson which makes sense but even Mike Pouncey is often cited as a better center in Dolphins history but frankly, he doesn’t come close.
