2.01 – Tyler Huntley (QB – BAL)

"“Underrated Lamaresque QB that will learn under the phenom” – (@masterjune70)"

Tyler Huntley is a talented quarterback that projects as a potential long-term backup to Lamar Jackson. As my colleague Marc stated, Huntley has a little Lamar Jackson to his game as an athletic quarterback with an underrated arm. He is nowhere near as advanced as Lamar was in his decision making and progressions, but he has enough strong moments on film to believe that he could run the Ravens offense in a couple years time if Jackson were to miss any gametime. Huntley is not as athletic or dynamic as Jackson, but has shown enough rushing upside to be a schematic fit.

In a deeper superflex league, Huntley profiles as a quarterback with massive upside. He is in a system conducive to his skill set, and while he may never win the starting job, he will have instant QB1 level upside if he were called upon to make spot starts in 2021 or beyond. Those in leagues with taxi squads will want to remember his name at the end of drafts or in free agency, but should be cognizant that with both Robert Griffin III and Trace McSorley ahead of him that he will likely start his career on the practice squad.
