Bundesliga player Serie A clubs should target No.4: Timo Werner

One of the hottest players in the Bundesliga since the restart, Timo Werner’s stock has never been as high as it is now.

The German striker, who plays for RB Leipzig, has been around since 2013 when he started his career at Vfb Stuttgart. He scored 16 goals in 30 league games last season, a strong tally for the then-23 year old. He also played for Germany at the 2018 World Cup, an experience that helped make him into a stronger player.

As of this season, he has already surpassed that goal tally and as a result is drawing attention from many clubs, most notably Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. If anything, the Premier League remains the top flight with the most money and the biggest obstacle for Italian clubs to overcome should a bidding war start once the transfer season opens.

His recent hat trick in a 5-0 win against Mainz has clubs across Europe salivating for his signature. It marked the seventh time this season that Werner has scored more than one goal in a league match. While Inter Milan and AC Milan would normally target such a player, his cost could be so high that only a team like Juventus could even consider making a move for him.
