5 Bundesliga players who should consider playing in Italy
Bundesliga player Serie A clubs should target No.3: Kai Havertz
The 20-year-old German midfielder has been one of Bayer Leverkusen’s best players this season and would make a welcome addition at a higher-ranked club.
While it is possible that Kai Havertz could move to another Bundesliga club (most likely Bayern Munich), he’s someone who could do very well in Italy because he is creative in midfield and strong on the wings.
It’s no surprise that some of Europe’s top clubs are closely monitoring him. Havertz is a midfield maestro much like former Italian greats Roberto Donadoni and Andrea Pirlo. Again, Liverpool are looking at him closely as well as they look to bolster their roster with young talent in time for next season.
The reality is that Liverpool don’t need him (should Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino all stay put) and especially if his price tag continues to rise over the next few months. This is where a club like Juventus, very much in need of younger offensive weapons to potentially replace the aging Gonzalo Higuain, could sweep in and break the bank.
