The Houston Texans should sign Dez Bryant

Bryant should return to Texas.

The beloved fan favorite in Dallas should make his NFL return in Houston. The Texans need a receiver after head coach Bill O’Brien decided to trade away their star wideout DeAndre Hopkins. He was a generational talent and a favorite target for rising star quarterback Deshaun Watson. The head-scratching move, especially for how little they received in return, is one of the most unforgivable transactions in NFL history.

While there is not a receiver on the market who can replace Hopkins talent-wise, Bryant would be the best signing they could make. Bryant’s presence won’t directly replace number 10’s impact, however, it would be a step in the right direction. Watson needs a reliable target and in the state of Texas how great of a story would it be for Bryant to make his NFL comeback in Houston.

He would be paired with Watson, who has the potential to be an MVP candidate in 2020 with the right pieces around him.. If Bryant and Watson build chemistry early on, the two could be a highlight reel machine. In the process, they can help lead the Texans to win the AFC South again and go deep in the postseason.

With a rising star at quarterback, the Texans do have a chance to compete for a Super Bowl in 2020. Bryant could be key to that quest.
