Denver Broncos Mount Rushmore: OLB Von Miller

He’s the one active player on this list of Denver greats. Outside linebacker Von Miller was the second overall pick in what has become a fabled NFL draft in 2011. He displayed a lot of talent early in his career but as time has worn one, he’s become a more complete football player.

One of the turning points of his career was during the team’s 2015 Super Bowl 50 championship season and in particular, the club’s 20-18 win over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the AFC title game.

That afternoon, the former Texas A&M standout recorded five tackles, 2.5 sacks and a key interception of Brady. Two weeks later, the Broncos went on to a 24-10 over the Carolina Panthers at Levi’s Stadium and Miller, who finished with six stops, 2.5 sacks, a pair of forced fumbles and one pass deflection, was named Super Bowl 50’s Most Valuable Player.

In nine NFL seasons, the 31-year-old pro has racked up a franchise-record 106 sacks, as well as 26 forced fumbles in 135 regular-season contests. There’s a lot of optimism these days in the Mile High City and Miller is far from finished when it comes to what is amounting as a memorable career.
