Seattle Seahawks all-time Mount Rushmore

2. Russell Wilson, QB (2012-Present)
Russell Wilson was the Seahawks’ third-round pick (75th overall) in the 2012 NFL Draft. Teams across the league were concerned if his 5-foot-11 frame would handle the next level of football.
Wilson would ultimately go for football and ended up having a stellar debut season. He would tie then Peyton Manning’s record for most passing touchdowns by a rookie (26) and was named the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year.
His speed, athleticism, and the assistance of the Legion of Boom defense were enough to win Super Bowl XLVIII. That victory, along with another Super Bowl run, led Wilson to become one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Eventually, he would become one of the highest-paid players in the NFL.
Wilson continues to become a legend in Seattle. In 2019, he became the fifth-fastest quarterback to 200 career touchdown passes. He joins exclusive company alongside Manning, Brett Favre, Dan Marino and Aaron Rodgers.
Throughout his career, Wilson has proven that shorter players can thrive under the highest level. He continues to build an impressive resume in his first eight seasons in Seattle, which in turn, is slowly turning into a remarkable Hall of Fame resume.
