10. Ugly NCAA basketball uniforms: Duke Blue Devils

This uniform plus the one at number nine is a prime example of why mess with a great thing. The Blue Devils have one of the best sets of uniforms in college basketball so why mess with it.

I will give them credit by rolling out a sweet looking throwback this year and I am even ok with the fact that they were black uniforms even though that isn’t an official color for the school. They at least have the same design as the blue and white ones and it is a great look.

But then they go and try and get cute and roll out these alternate uniforms for a game against none other than North Carolina for their 100th meeting. Please tell me why? Why would you mess with such an iconic rivalry but putting them in uniforms that look this bad?

Each game these two teams play should be a visual masterpiece on the hardwood, but instead, we got treated to what looked like a practice game because of the uniforms. The big logo returns and then you just take every element out of a great uniform.

I don’t understand what they were thinking and who said yep this is a good idea. This was horrible. The only thing worse than these uniforms was the way that North Carolina played this year.

Duke, you have great uniforms and a great team, you don’t need to do gimmick uniforms to recruit kids. So please don’t make us look at these again.
