9. Ugly NCAA basketball uniforms: North Carolina Tar Heels

We could say the exact same thing about the Tar Heels that we just said about the Blue Devils. The only reason that North Carolina is one spot higher on ugly uniforms is that they were ahead of them in our best uniforms. So because they were higher on the best uniforms list they can fall farther to become ugly.

I don’t know how they got North Carolina and Duke to agree to both wearing these awful uniforms. Usually, these teams hate each other so to get them to both be ok with this is beyond my comprehension. Nike must have given them a deal for rolling these things out. It is the only explanation I can come up with.

North Carolina had toyed with the single logo on the front of the uniform before and it was not good. We thought we had seen the last of those but unfortunately, it came back this year for this game. At least when they did it before they kept the argyle pattern on the side that is iconic with the Tar Heels uniforms.

Why they would go away from the argyle look is beyond me. Look there are uglier uniforms out there as you are about to see, but none of them took a great uniform and made it so bad so quickly.

This is one thing I think North Carolina and Duke fans will actually agree on. Don’t ever wear these again.
