8. Ugly NCAA basketball uniforms: Michigan State Spartans

Yet another team with a great uniform trying to get cute and making it look awful. Michigan State was on our list of top uniforms in the country and just like Duke and North Carolina find themselves on the wrong end also.

I kind of understand the Spartans messing with their football uniforms a little bit, because as good as they have been at times, they don’t have the history that the basketball team does. But even the football team has gone down some really bad paths with uniforms.

They have great green and white uniforms. They get even better when they roll out the throwback white uniforms that I personally think they should make their primary set. They have a lot of history with their basketball team and uniforms, but yet they still try and mess with it. Just please stop.

Let’s be clear also, Michigan State has had worse basketball uniforms then the ones here, but these are still bad.

First Michigan State should just stick to its green and white color scheme and not introduce black. Next, why did anyone think lime green is a good idea? The Seattle Seahawks did it, but again with less history and those at the same time were widely panned.

So why does Michigan State continue to roll out uniforms with lime green? This is such a bad look that I don’t even want to talk about it anymore.
