The Alabama football schedule lightens up in October.

Oct. 3 – at Ole Miss

Lane Kiffin back in the SEC, baby! There are going to be countless storylines and, hopefully, plenty of entertaining photo ops between Kiffin and Saban as they are reunited on the first Saturday in October. However, the Crimson Tide visiting Oxford isn’t going to be a fun affair for Kiffin and the Rebels. While I think this team has the chance to be a sleeper and among the more exciting teams in the SEC, Ole Miss can’t hang with Alabama. Prediction: Win

Oct 10 – at Arkansas

Sam Pittman taking over at Arkansas could very well be the right hire. With the hole that the Razorbacks have dug for themselves over the past few years, though, it’s going to take more than just the 2020 season to determine that. Even if this is a road game for the Crimson Tide, they shouldn’t break a sweat and will still pick up a blowout win. Prediction: Win

Oct. 17 – vs. Mississippi State

After starting October with one SEC newcomer in Kiffin, Alabama welcomes Mike Leach and Mississippi State to Tuscaloosa on the 17th. For me, the Bulldogs aren’t ready to compete with the SEC’s best right now. When you then factor in Leach’s sometimes-questionable recruiting prowess and the questions about the effectiveness of the Air Raid against top-end SEC defenses, it’s hard to not think this is a heavy advantage to Alabama. Prediction: Win

Oct. 24 – at Tennessee

If the Crimson Tide didn’t have an off week on Halloween, this trip to Neyland Stadium would have trap game written all over it. Former Bama staff member Jeremy Pruitt has the Vols heading in an obviously positive direction right now and, if they can get stable quarterback play from Jarrett Guarantano, I believe they can be a 9-win team in 2020. Unfortunately for the Tennessee faithful, one of those nine wins won’t come against Alabama. Prediction: Win
