3. Week 15: Kansas City Chiefs at New Orleans Saints

The Sunday before Christmas is usually a big shopping day, but football fans should plan to have their errands wrapped up by mid-afternoon to watch this game. Fans of offense will want to check out the first (and potentially only) meeting between Patrick Mahomes and Drew Brees.

The Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints have been two of football’s best teams for the past few years but have yet to meet due to the scheduling formula. There was potential of a Super Bowl showdown last year before the Saints got upset in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Vikings.

This contest will be played at the Superdome, which could be a huge advantage for the Saints if fans are allowed in the building at that point in the season. The indoor atmosphere is also conducive to a track meet with both teams possessing blazing speed on offense.

Points should be aplenty in New Orleans as the Saints and Chiefs will also be jockeying for playoff positioning with the season nearly complete. The massive stakes and shootout potential mean that this contest is easily one of the five best games the NFL will offer this season.
