2. Week 10: San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints

It’s a good year to be a Saints’ fan since their schedule is loaded with excellent games. The Saints’ third appearance in the top five of our list features a rematch of the most exciting regular-season game in 2019.

That contest was a 48-46 thrill ride that went to the San Francisco 49ers in the end. A monster effort by George Kittle set up the winning points for San Francisco and that win proved to be the difference in the race for home field in the NFC.

The loss ensured that the Saints would have to play on Wild Card weekend when they were upset by the Minnesota Vikings. There’s a good chance New Orleans could have made a deeper run if they had received a bye so there is motivation to deliver some revenge to San Francisco here.

The contest is in New Orleans once again and will offer a significant impact on the race for home-field advantage in the NFC playoffs. With it falling right in the middle of the season and just a week after the 49ers take on Green Bay fans will learn a lot about the home-field race quickly.
