1. Kansas City Chiefs

The team with the best chance to win the Super Bowl is the one that won last year’s big game: the Kansas City Chiefs.

There are always concerns about whether the Chiefs will have the same hunger to win after bringing home the Lombardi Trophy in February, but this team should be locked and loaded for another title run.

Kansas City has retained pretty much all of their key offensive personnel from last season’s title-winner and drafted running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire to add another dimension to the backfield in the first round. That continuity will be very important in an offseason when a lot of on-field prep work will have to wait until training camp as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The AFC is also a much weaker conference than the NFC with the Baltimore Ravens serving as the top opposition in Kansas City’s path back to the Super Bowl. The Ravens have yet to beat the Chiefs with Lamar Jackson under center, so that is another edge in Kansas City’s column.

The Chiefs also have the ultimate kingmaker in quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the reigning Super Bowl MVP and best player in football. Mahomes’ presence alone makes Kansas City a threat to become the NFL’s next dynasty and the Chiefs could take a big step in that direction with another title.
