2. New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints have been knocking on the door of a Super Bowl for the past three years and they certainly feel like they’re due. Despite winning 37 games in the regular season in that span, the Saints haven’t won a title due to various forms of bad postseason luck.

Whether it was the Minneapolis Miracle, the blown pass interference call against Nickell Robey-Coleman or last year’s overtime heartbreaker against the Minnesota Vikings there have been plenty of bitter disappointments for the Saints in the playoffs. New Orleans is under immense pressure to win this season and they have a talented roster in place to do just that.

Drew Brees put up some of the best numbers of his career despite missing five games and will look to replicate that performance in what could be his final season. The Saints did a good job importing veteran difference makers like Malcolm Jenkins and Emmanuel Sanders in pursuit of a title.

This season does have a Super Bowl-or-bust feel for the Saints, who may face a lengthy rebuild once Brees retires. New Orleans will have a mountain to climb to get out of the loaded NFC, but if they make it to Tampa their chances of winning it all will skyrocket.
