The Tennessee football schedule could see the Vols get 10 wins.

Tennessee football is expected to make a big step in the third year under Jeremy Pruitt.

The Vols got off to a rocky start on Rocky Top last season but finished strong with six straight wins, including a Gator Bowl win over Indiana.

Not only did Tennessee football win a bowl game, but they had an incredible come-from-behind victory over Indiana with two clutch touchdowns to overcome a 22-9 deficit entering the fourth quarter to finish 8-5 (5-3) on the season.

This positive momentum has bled into great recruiting efforts with the Vols having the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation, according to 247Sports.

With division rivals Missouri, South Carolina and Vanderbilt in varying states of rebuild, Tennessee football looks to close the gap on the top of the SEC East where Georgia and Florida have been the top contenders for much of Tennessee’s downfall this century. Tennessee feels like a team that can realistically challenge the Dawgs and the Gators in the coming years. Former Vols receiver Peerless Price who was on the 1998 national championship team thinks Tennessee will be in the College Football Playoff in the near future.

Entering the 2020 NCAA season, the oddsmakers are cautiously optimistic Tennessee is capable of winning eight games again, maybe as many as 10 if they get lucky. Every dog has its day and Tennessee’s day in the sun looks to be rapidly approaching under Pruitt’s watch.

Let’s go game-by-game on the Tennessee football schedule and predict how the Vols will do.
