The AFC East Division Favorite. Bills Mafia stand up! The Bills have a lot to be optimistic about this upcoming season and for seasons to come.

They have several players that could have breakout campaigns. One of these players is their second year running back out of Florida Atlantic University….

Devin Singletary (currently ranked as: RB25): The Bills love Devin Singletary, and I can’t blame them. He’s electric and runs through tackles with ease. In 2020, he was hidden on the depth chart behind some guy named Frank Gore.

Although at times not productive, Frank Gore received a good amount of the work, especially in goal line situations. It also didn’t help that Devin missed 4 games early in the season, yet still finished as RB32 as a rookie. On a per game basis, Devin was a top 20 running back despite not getting as many opportunities as other running backs surrounding him.

With Frank Gore’s departure, I expect a big up-tick in Devin’s usage. He will be their true workhorse. Sure, rookie RB Zack Moss will vulture some opportunities, but not nearly as many as Frank Gore did in 2019. Once fully healthy, over the last 5 weeks of 2019, Devin was seeing 15-20 touches per game and was putting up good fantasy numbers.

I expect Devin, and the Bills in general, to take a huge leap in 2020. The maturity of Josh Allen as well as the addition of Stefon Diggs means the offense will be more explosive and likely give Devin more touchdown opportunities.

But wait, there’s more! You don’t even need to use a first or second round pick on someone with this potential. Devin is currently being drafted as a low-end RB2. Someone with his expected usage and skill should not be taken this low. He has potential to be an RB1 this year, which can’t be said about the people being drafted near him. Draft Devin when the time comes and you will reap the rewards for the whole season.

We bid the Bills farewell. On to Miami.
