1. Cade Cunningham could transfer to Kentucky

If Cunningham opts not to play at Oklahoma State the most logical scenario is for him to wind up at Kentucky. One of Cunningham’s final five schools in his initial recruitment, landing at Kentucky makes a ton of sense here.

Under John Calipari, the Wildcats have become one of the biggest factories for NBA prospects. 29 different Kentucky players have been drafted in the first round since Calipari took over in 2010, including NBA stars like DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall, Anthony Davis and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Wildcats also have plenty of options for playing time in their lineup next season. The vast majority of Kentucky’s top players went pro, leaving a few returning role players to compete with the latest group of fabulous freshmen coming to Lexington.

There is a chance that a scholarship could open up at Kentucky if the NCAA doesn’t grant transfer center Olivier Sarr’s waiver requesting immediate eligibility. If the waiver is granted it could complicate matters, but the Wildcats would probably try to find a way to accommodate Cunningham if he wanted to play in Lexington.

The marriage between Cunningham and Kentucky makes a lot of sense, plus we already know he strongly considered the Wildcats in his initial recruitment. The tradition of playing for Kentucky would also be appealing for Cunningham, giving the Wildcats a potential king-maker in the SEC if he chooses to come.
