Malik Jackson can’t wait to play Drew Brees following his National Anthem comments

While players on the New Orleans Saints have expressed their support for quarterback Drew Brees after he’s delivered multiple apologies for his National Anthem statements, not everyone out there is ready to forgive him so easily.

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Malik Jackson recently told ABC’s Jeff Skversky that not only will he not be accepting Brees’ apology, but he can’t wait till he has a chance to play him during Week 14 of this campaign.

Eagles play Saints Week 14, and Malik Jackson can’t wait to see Drew Brees

“Definitely excited to play him this year,” Jackson told Skversky. “I’m going to have a lot to say. Hopefully, I don’t get too wild with it, but I don’t understand how you could say that when you have people blocking for you who are black, catching balls from you who are black and people that are running the ball for you who are black.”

The Eagles lineman didn’t hold back in letting everyone know just how upset he was with Brees’ comments. In that same interview, he went on to say that he believes there are plenty of racist players currently donning NFL uniforms.

It goes without saying, but this has got to be a concern for Roger Goodell and the rest of the league.

Jackson is getting ready for his ninth season in the NFL, and second campaign for Philly. While most Eagles fans will have their showdowns with the Cowboys circled on their calendars, the 6-5, 290-pounder can’t wait for the Dec. 13 battle with New Orleans. He’ll definitely be extra fired up to get to Brees and deliver a powerful hit.
