The Cowboys are a team full of well-known fantasy football players: Ezekiel Elliot, Amari Cooper, Dak Prescott. Choosing one of them as a breakout this year wouldn’t be saying much.

So, let’s turn to a lesser known, extremely talented receiver:

Michael Gallup (currently ranked as: WR31): Michael Gallup is coming into his third year. Gallup hardly played his rookie season, but he started his sophomore season on fire. Through two games, Gallup had 13 receptions for 226 yards. Not bad for a WR that was drafted late in drafts.

Unfortunately, a knee injury forced Gallup to miss the next two games, and he didn’t look 100% for the rest of the season. Gallup ended the season as WR22. However, in the 14 games he played, he averaged 15.2 fantasy points per game (in PPR). That would’ve been good for WR12 had he played all 16 games. Gallup comes into 2020 fully healthy and poised to breakout. So then why is Gallup ranked so low at WR31? Answer: CeeDee Lamb.

The Cowboys spent a first round pick on Oklahoma standout WR CeeDee Lamb. This makes other ‘fantasy experts’ think Gallup’s role will diminish. I am here to tell you that will not be the case. Gallup is a dynamic play-maker who has a great connection with Dak Prescott. Last year, Gallup proved he needs to be on the field and I know the Cowboys will recognize that. Not to mention he also had 3 TD’s in Week 17 last year!

Given where he is being drafted right now, Michael Gallup will provide tremendous value. He’s a steal at his current price. Gallup is poised to breakout in 2020. Don’t be the one to regret passing on him.

Up next, the Philadelphia Eagles.
