Florida State football schedule 2020: Predicting every Seminoles game
By John Buhler
The Florida State football schedule has a tricky non-conference slate.
Sept. 5: West Virginia Mountaineers (Atlanta, GA)
It’s a big first game for Norvell leading Florida State football. The Seminoles will face Neal Brown‘s West Virginia Mountaineers at the Chick-fil-A Kickoff in Atlanta on Labor Day Weekend. Brown has been in Morgantown for a season. Maybe the former Troy Trojans head coach will get it right there? Too bad Florida State has more talent than they do. Florida State, 31-23
Sept. 12: Samford Bulldogs
Florida State will take all its positive momentum from beating West Virginia in Atlanta and turn it into a home blowout of the FCS Samford Bulldogs. The fan base will be excited about getting to 2-0, as the Seminoles look to be firing on all cylinders right out of the gate. Though the early-season success may be a flash in the pan, 2-0 is still 2-0 at the end of the day. Florida State, 45-17.
Sept. 19: at Boise State Broncos (Boise, ID)
All the positive momentum from the 2-0 start will evaporate over the blue turf in Boise, Idaho. The Seminoles will face New Year’s Six bowl hopeful Boise State at their place and it will not go well. A late score in garbage time makes the score closer than what the game will actually indicate. It will be a regrettable trip across the country for the Seminoles. Boise State, 37-22.
