Florida State football schedule 2020: Predicting every Seminoles game

Florida State football gets bowl-eligible vs. Boston College.
Nov. 7: at Miami Hurricanes (Miami Gardens, FL)

Norvell would have loved nothing more than to win this major ACC rivalry game vs. the Miami Hurricanes. Even though it’s in Miami Gardens this year, the Seminoles will have had their chances at upsetting this ranked team. However, graduate transfer quarterback D’Eriq King becomes a Miami legend with his fourth-quarter performance en route to victory. Miami, 31-28.
Nov. 14: Boston College Eagles
Prediction. 15. 826. 41. 804
At 5-4, the Seminoles are running out of opportunities to achieve bowl eligibility. They have two division games left and a huge in-state rivalry at the end of the regular season. With a great deal of poise and confidence, the Seminoles wallop the Boston College Eagles on homecoming to secure bowl eligibility for Norvell a little bit before Thanksgiving. Florida State, 41-15.
Nov. 21: at Syracuse Orange (Syracuse, NY)
30. 804. 21. 827. Prediction
It may not seem like much at the time, but this game will illustrate to us Norvell will have this program back in no time. Winning early in the season on the road at North Carolina State was cool, but getting a second road win in conference play at Syracuse is even better. The Seminoles wrap up ACC play with a solid 5-3 record. Florida State, 30-21.
Nov. 28: Florida Gators
Prediction. 35. 840. 17. 804
Again, we have arrived at another game where Florida State isn’t ready to compete with the big boys. While they couldn’t hold their own at Boise State, home vs. Clemson or at Louisville, the Seminoles will give the hated rival Florida Gators all they can handle for three quarters before fading fast in the final frame. It looks worse than what it actually was. Florida, 35-17.
Pinstripe Bowl vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers (The Bronx, NYC)
804. 34. 810. Prediction. 20
At 7-5 (5-3), Florida State will play its holiday season bowl at Yankee Stadium in the Pinstripe Bowl. They will go up against another 7-5 in the Big Ten’s Nebraska Cornhuskers. Nebraska will want this game so badly because the Cornhuskers were riding an atrocious five-game skid heading into their bowl game. Florida State never had a chance. Nebraska, 34-20.
Overall, Florida State has a winning season and at times looked a few wins better than what its record indicated. However, you are what your record says you are. Florida State has the potential to pop in year two under Norvell. 10 wins won’t be out of the question for the Seminoles in 2021. They have to beat Louisville at home to make any of that happen, though. It was a good year.
Prediction: 7-6 (5-3), 3rd Place Finish in ACC Atlantic
