Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DE Adrian Clayborn (2011 1st Round, No. 20)

After a strong rookie year in which he recorded 7.5 sacks, it looked like the Buccaneers had found a gem in Adrian Clayborn. Injuries took hold, limiting him to just 20 games and 5.5 sacks over the next three seasons. Tampa Bay moved on after 2014 and Clayborn has bounced around the league as a starting-level player.

Tennessee Titans: QB Jake Locker (2011 1st Round, No. 8)

There were quite a few bad quarterback picks in the 2011 draft and Jake Locker is right near the top of the list. Locker was a strong prospect out of Washington but never made much of an impact in four seasons with Tennessee. After the 2014 season Locker retired due to a lack of desire to keep playing football.

Washington Redskins: QB Robert Griffin III (2012 1st Round, No. 2)

This pick was unfortunate for the Redskins, who looked like they had hit a home run at quarterback after trading a boatload of picks to move up to no. 2 and draft Robert Griffin III. 2012 saw RGIII take the league by storm, winning the NFL’s Rookie of the Year Award, but he was never the same after suffering a devastating knee injury. Griffin would eventually be supplanted by Kirk Cousins and cut by the Redskins in 2016. After a disastrous stint in Cleveland Griffin has found a nice landing spot as a backup quarterback in Baltimore.
