New York Giants: OT Ereck Flowers (2015 1st Round, No. 9)

This one was a slam dunk as Ereck Flowers is one of the worst first-round picks the Giants have ever made. Eager to find a new left tackle, Giants’ GM Jerry Reese took Flowers at nine and the pick proceeded to turn into a disaster. Flowers was moved inside after being unable to handle the tackle spot and left in free agency after the 2018 season.

New York Jets: QB Christian Hackenberg (2016 2nd Round, No. 51)

The Jets have blown quite a few first-round picks over the last decade (see Dee Milliner, Quinton Coples, Darron Lee) so it takes a very special second-rounder to unseat them. That was certainly Christian Hackenberg, who was a reach when the Jets took him in 2016 and will go down as one of the biggest quarterback busts ever. Hackenberg never took an NFL snap and is currently out of the league, a clear indictment that he shouldn’t have gone that high.

Philadelphia Eagles: DE Marcus Smith (2014 1st Round, No. 26)

A late first-round pick out of Louisville, Marcus Smith never really made an impact with the Eagles. Smith was a role player who offered meager contributions to Philadelphia, which waived him in training camp in 2017. Two other teams have taken a chance on Smith, who is currently out of football.
