Former Duke basketball star and current New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson is being accused of receiving improper benefits to attend Duke.

The No. 1 pick in the last NBA Draft and certifiable superstar is being accused by his former marketing agent Gina Ford of receiving gifts that would have made him permanently ineligible as a college student-athlete.

Ford released more documents and information that she says will prove her allegations against Zion and Duke basketball are fact. Among the accusations levied at Zion and his family are his stepfather had three luxury vehicles and the family moved from a modest rental home in South Carolina where rent was $895 per month to a full-on mansion with a monthly rent of $4,995 and is valued at $950,000.

How does the family explain that change in lifestyle?

The optics suggest Williamson leveraged his incredible bargaining power as the nation’s top recruit into getting his parents a near-million-dollar home so he could play basketball for a few months at Duke and not Clemson or any of his other suitors.

This is the house at the center of the Zion Williamson alleged scandal.

The house the Williamson family lived in when Zion was in high school is on the left and the house on the right is what Ford is alleging is where the family lived during his time at Duke. It’s been rumored the home is a Duke alumni property that is used as a sales pitch to get top basketball recruits to Durham and play for Coach K.

Zion may be forced to testify under oath where he’ll be asked whether he was paid to attend Duke. Depending on what he says, this could be a very tense time for Duke basketball fans. Could this taint the legacy of Coach K? Could Duke be stripped of their ACC Tournament title? Could Coach K have to vacate wins during Zion’s freshman season? Will Duke basketball face any sort of postseason ban or scholarship reduction?

These are all valid questions as the alleged pay-for-play scandal matriculates.
