These five NFL teams really should just sign Colin Kaepernick right now.

In light of the NFL’s recent commitment to the Black Lives Matter movement, there has been an increased buzz about getting Colin Kaepernick back into the league.

Kaepernick, who once took the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl, has been out of football since the end of the 2016 season.

Many suspect the reason that Kaepernick hasn’t been signed is due to his political views, which he expressed by kneeling in protest during the national anthem to raise awareness of police brutality.

Kaepernick actually sued the NFL for damages as a result of collusion, but the case was settled out of court. Times have changed and these five teams should sign Kaepernick right now, including the Arizona Cardinals.

5. Colin Kaepernick could mentor Kyler Murray in Arizona

The Cardinals have a young quarterback whose game has similarities to Kaepernick in Kyler Murray. After a strong rookie season, there is hope that Murray will take a big leap forward in year two, especially with the addition of DeAndre Hopkins at wide receiver.

Arizona doesn’t have a ton of great quarterback depth on its roster, with the current backups consisting of Brett Hundley, Chris Steveler and Drew Anderson. Kaepernick would provide an immediate upgrade over all of them while also providing a veteran sounding board for Murray.

One of the keys for success for a young quarterback is having good influences around them, and there isn’t a better influence in today’s world than Kaepernick. Making this move would help the Cardinals significantly bolster their odds of getting the best out of Murray.
