3. The Denver Broncos should add Colin Kaepernick to their quarterback room

One thing that has become abundantly clear in the discussion about signing Colin Kaepernick is that the team to do it needs a strong culture. There’s no question there are landing spots Kaepernick could go right now and potentially start, but it makes more football sense for him to acclimate himself to the NFL again as a backup.

One place that could fit both needs is Denver, which has former legendary quarterback John Elway running the team. Elway thinks he has found his potential franchise quarterback in Drew Lock, but there are still questions about whether what the Broncos saw out of him at the end of 2019 was real.

The Broncos currently have Jeff Driskel, Brett Rypien and Riley Neal behind Lock. Kaepernick is a big upgrade over all of them and can help mentor Lock behind-the-scenes.

That is a big help on the football field and that should remain the primary motivation behind signing Kaepernick. Denver has the right structure in place to do that and should seriously consider adding him to their quarterback room.
