Minnesota Vikings: DE Jim Marshall

He was part of the storied “Purple People Eaters” defensive line that already includes Hall-of-Famers Alan Page and Carl Eller. Best known for his wrong way run after a fumble recovery, he toiled 20 seasons – the final 19 with the Vikings. Jim Marshall and Hall-of-Famer Jason Taylor own the league record for opponent fumble recoveries (29).

Also Consider: S Joey Browner

New England Patriots: DL Richard Seymour

Versatility is something that head coach Bill Belichick looks for. You couldn’t do better than Richard Seymour, who could play anywhere on New England’s defensive front and even lined up in the backfield on occasion. The seven-time Pro Bowler (five with the Patriots) and three-time All-Pro was a huge part of club’s early Super Bowl victories.

New Orleans Saints: ILB Sam Mills

Linebacker Sam Mills joined the Saints in 1986 after a stint in the USFL. He played in that league under her head coach Jim Mora, the same man who brought him to New Orleans. There would be nine years in the Big Easy and three with Carolina. He finished with 22 forced fumbles, 34 takeaways and five Pro Bowl invitations in 12 seasons.
