2. Seattle Seahawks could re-brand the Legion of Boom with Jamal Adams.

A Legion of Boom rebirth could be in the works if the Seahawks opt to meet what is sure to be lofty demands from the New York Jets.

Seattle’s secondary has been lacking much of a fear factor since the days of Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman, but by acquiring Adams and using some of the cap space saved from letting Jadeveon Clowney walk (such a trade would almost assure the former No. 1 pick signs elsewhere) for an extension for the LSU product, Pete Carroll and the Seahawks could employ some of their creative blitz packages without fear of getting exploited over the top.

Quandre Diggs and Bradley McDougald currently man the safety positions in Seattle, but Adams would serve as an upgrade over both, as he’s a solid tackler and no stickler in coverage. Adams’ flexibility, and willingness to be used as either an extra man in the box or coverage man over the top — and excel in both roles — is what makes him arguably the best young safety in the NFL.

John Schneider hasn’t been willing to dish out the kind of contract Adams is demanding to playmaker on his defense: look no further than Clowney and Frank Clark, among others. But Adams could be an exception, given his youth and standing in the league at such a young age.
