1. Jamal Adams would be at home with the Dallas Cowboys.

Could the longtime flirtation finally lead to something real? Adams is a Texas native and has hinted at wanting to join the Cowboys in the past. Dallas still has a hole at the safety position, and after losing the likes of Byron Jones to the Miami Dolphins this offseason, they could use the boost in their secondary. The Cowboys have previously balked at a trade for Adams, most notably before the NFL Draft, as the Jets demands for their crown jewel were far too steep.

Now that he’s made his plan more clear, could Dallas finally pull the trigger? The Jets have yet to give Adams and his agent permission to seek a trade partner, meaning they’re either trying to hold out hope for a long-term solution or they want to control the narrative.

The Cowboys do have assets outside of just draft picks that could intrigue the Jets, including wide receiver Michael Gallup, who’s shown promise at just 24 years of age.
