2020 Travelers Championship – Studs

Bryson DeChambeau $11,000

I loved the way that Bryson was striking the ball the past 2 weeks since the break. The guy is a machine with his irons when his game is firing. We all know what his off the tee game has looked like coming off the COVID break.  He just needs a hot week with his putter and the field will have no chance. He has 4 straight made cuts at the Travelers and has a T8 and T9 in has past two.

Collin Morikawa $9,100

The youngster struggled at Harbour Town last week. I will look for a bounce back this week at a much more tempered price. His superb play over the past two weeks and his second place finish at the Charles Schwab provided him with some extra notoriety. I cannot pass on Morikawa this week though. His game is an excellent form, ranking in the top 10 in approach, opportunities gained, BOB gained, T2G gained, and DK points. I think you have to keep riding with the hot hand. Morikawa finished T36 in 2019 at this event, his first time playing it.

Marc Leishman $8,000

Leishman has a very good course history at this event, he is playing well, and his price is way too low for the caliber of player that he is. Yes, it may be the perfect storm for a missed cut, but I will ride Leishman again this week after a missed cut at the Charles Schwab. Leishman finished T21 in 2019 and missed the cut in 2018 at TPC River Highlands. However, he finished T17, T9, T39 and T11 in the 4 previous years. At this price I cannot fade.
