Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson

Winning the award for a second consecutive season is going to be a challenge for Jackson. That doesn’t mean anyone else on the Ravens’ roster has a better shot of winning the honor in 2020.

Baltimore might need to flirt with a perfect season to make it happen. That stacks the odds against Jackson, but betting against such a prodigious talent is never advisable.

Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Mixon

Joe Burrow is getting all the offseason hype for the Bengals, but fans shouldn’t forget about just how good Mixon has been in recent seasons. Playing alongside Burrow might finally give the talented running back the room he needs to lead the NFL in rushing. If that happens, it will be time for Mixon to bask in the glow of serious postseason accolades.

Cleveland Browns: Baker Mayfield

Mayfield took a big step backwards in 2019, but his front office took care of him this offseason. Drafting Jedrick Wills and signing Jack Conklin in free agency will drastically upgrade the quarterback’s protection this season.

If he has time to throw, he could put up video game numbers. Throwing to Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry and Austin Hooper is a quarterbacks’ dream. It could equal a sensational season for Mayfield.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger

Roethlisberger is everyone’s trendy pick for Comeback Player of the Year after missing almost all of 2019 due to injury. The leap from that award to MVP isn’t as large as it might seem.

To win the honor, the Steelers will need to win the division on the back of a prolific passing attack. Roethlisberger might have one more dream season left in his right arm. MVP Award voters would love that kind of redemption story.
