AFC North

Baltimore Ravens: S Rod Woodson

A key member of the 2000 Super Bowl champions, Woodson made an impact as soon as he signed with the Ravens in 1998. Woodson was still a cornerback when he arrived but eventually converted to safety. Baltimore saw Woodson lead the NFL in interceptions in 1999 and make three Pro Bowls in his four years as a Raven.

Cincinnati Bengals: CB Tory James

Finding a notable free-agent signing for Cincinnati was hard since this is an organization that until recently has been quite cheap on the open market. The best external free agent they have signed was James, who made the Pro Bowl in his second season with the Bengals. James was a very good corner in four years with Cincinnati.

Cleveland Browns: LB Pepper Johnson

A two-time Super Bowl champion with the Giants, Johnson followed his former defensive coordinator over to Cleveland in 1993. Johnson starred in Belichick’s defense, making the Pro Bowl in 1994 as the Browns reached the playoffs. Cleveland fans certainly have to hope one of their more recent acquisitions supplants Johnson on this list in the next few years.

Pittsburgh Steelers: LB James Farrior

An underachiever with the Jets, Farrior found his footing with the Steelers. Farrior spent a decade in Pittsburgh and was a key player on two Super Bowl champions for the Steelers. Over the course of his Pittsburgh career, Farrior made two Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams.
