8. Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry and Draymond Green

Formerly one of the best combinations in the league, Curry and Green’s synergy also translates to 2-on-2. Curry has to be accounted for at all times, and double-teaming him will be a terrible idea in this context, meaning that he can get off a lot more of the shots he wants to.

Green’s playmaking gets played down (he literally just has to hit the open man), but he’s mainly here for the matchup-proof defense. As a defender of many different player types, he can go from guarding James Harden to Karl-Anthony Towns with relative ease.

7. Miami Heat: Jimmy Butler and Edrice “Bam” Adebayo

These two have done serious damage in the real NBA together, and would likely do even better with a more spaced floor. Butler is good in countless offensive roles, from isolation scorer to pick-and-roll ball-handler to a simple cutter. And Adebayo is a great roller and passer for a big, meaning he won’t be neutralized without the ball.

Defensively these two would be an even bigger problem. Butler is as versatile defensively as he is offensively, and Adebayo may be the most switchable big in the game. As long as he can hold his own at the rim, this team’s ceiling is as high as anyone’s.
