Green Bay Packers

Devin Funchess – Devin Funchess has had one season over 550 yards in the NFL so far, but he’s gotten two teams to give him decent money, albeit on one-year deals, in consecutive free agency periods.

The Colts spent $10 million on Funchess in 2019 only to see him get injured before the season even began. Now the Packers are hoping he can return to health and show more than he ever did in four years in Carolina.

Houston Texans

Eric Murray – Somehow Murray earned himself Tre Boston money (three years at $18 million) from the Houston Texans to play safety next to Justin Reid. Unfortunately the Texans will find out soon enough that Murray didn’t stick with the Chiefs or Browns as a starter for a reason.

The special teams acumen of Murray will help, but this contract looked ludicrous from the moment Murray signed it.

Indianapolis Colts

Xavier Rhodes – The Colts are hoping this is a short-lived stint for Rhodes on the overrated list, but for now we have to dock the former Minnesota Vikings cornerback for his head-scratching inclusion on last season’s Pro Bowl when anyone watching could see he was a shell of his former self. Pro Football Focus had only six corners with lower grades than Rhodes out of 120 who played at least 300 snaps in 2019.
