Jacksonville Jaguars

Leonard Fournette – Even after his most successful season to date in the NFL, the reality is that Leonard Fournette has largely proven to be a bust as a former top four pick overall for the Jaguars.

Last season, Fournette rushed for over 1,100 yards but he was 26th in yards/carry (4.3) and even worse in more precise metrics. No one had more rushes for 3.0 yards or less than Fournette (171). There’s a reason the Jags tried to trade him (and could not).

Kansas City Chiefs

Anthony Hitchens – For a player being paid like a star linebacker in the heart of the defense, the return on investment from Hitchens has been quite disheartening for the Chiefs.

Fortunately the defense was good enough to overcome the finances involved here, but the Chiefs are still waiting for Hitchens’ big payday to translate to significant impact on the field.

Las Vegas Raiders

Derek Carr – It wasn’t that long ago that Derek Carr’s name would be mentioned in preseason MVP conversations. These days, he’s the overpaid middling quarterback on a team held back by their insistence that Carr could still be the guy.

The Raiders are putting some impressive young pieces together, but as long as they insist on Carr being the filter through which the offense flows, the ceiling is lower than it should be in Vegas.
