Chicago Bears

Eddie GoldmanKhalil Mack rightfully dominates the headlines for the dominant Bears defense with others at every level receiving their due, but it seems as if Eddie Goldman, who has been a cornerstone along the front line, is overlooked every year despite proving himself as an important fixture in the middle every year since he was drafted in 2015. Fortunately the Bears knew what they were doing when they extended his contract another four years back in ’18.

Cincinnati Bengals

Trey Hopkins – The Bengals starting center was initially an undrafted free agent back in 2014. Fortunately his perseverence and work ethic helped him endure numerous setbacks including a season-ending injury, being waived, and long stints on the practice squad. He wouldn’t start his first game until 2017, but Cincy just signed him to a nice three-year extension that shows hard work eventually does pay off.

Cleveland Browns

Joel Bitonio – Yes, we know that Joel Bitonio has been named to two consecutive Pro Bowls. But instead of celebrating, we’re still saying, “Finally!” Bitonio has quietly been one of the NFL’s best interior linemen for quite some time and it’s nice to see him finally getting his due. Dealing with the endless turnover of coaches and quarterbacks in Cleveland can’t be easy, but Bitonio has been a pillar since being drafted in 2014.
